THE LAW ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA NO. 6698 (KVKK)
SECURITY CAMERAS PRIVACY NOTICE
This privacy notice is issued pursuant to Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Act No. 6698 and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilment of the Obligation to Provide Information, has been prepared by Mesev Koltuk Mobilya İnşaat Otomotiv İthalat İhracat Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi (MESEV) in its capacity as the data controller.
Within the premises of our company’s factory, both indoors and outdoors; in communal areas, buildings and outbuildings, meeting rooms, waiting areas, offices, and other communal areas such as car parks, security cameras are used to to ensure the security of movable and immovable property and the physical security of the premises; to ensure health and safety at work for employees; to monitor performance; to carry out inspections; to fulfil our public service obligations; and to ensure your safety, In accordance with the purposes set out in Articles 4 and 5 of the Act, video recordings of relevant individuals—including employees, job applicants, trainees, shareholders/partners, supplier staff, supplier representatives, customers, visitors and representatives—are retained and processed.
The recording process is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is supervised by the IT department and the relevant company department. The cameras record for a period of 21 days, after which the recordings are automatically deleted once the retention period has expired.
The personal data in question is processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5/2(c) of the Act, namely that “it is necessary for the data controller to fulfil its legal obligations”, and Article 5(2)(f), which states that “the processing of data is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that this does not infringe upon the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject”, and are processed automatically.
The personal data in question, processed via CCTV recordings, may be disclosed, where necessary, to the relevant company departments, to company partners/shareholders, our representatives, and, to the extent necessary for the resolution of legal disputes, to judicial authorities or relevant law enforcement agencies, as well as to authorised public institutions and organisations, in accordance with Article 8 of the Act.
You may submit your requests falling within the scope of Article 11 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, which “regulates the rights of the data subject”, In accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 13 of the “KVKK”, entitled “Application to the Data Controller”, and the provisions of the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Applications to the Data Controller, you may submit requests regarding your rights by completing the “Data Subject Application Form” available on our website and submit them to Mesev Koltuk Mobilya İnşaat Otomotiv İthalat İhracat Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi (MESEV), Cumhuriyet, Çalıkavak Street No: 21/A, 16400 İnegöl, Bursa, accompanied by documents verifying your identity, in person; or by sending an email to [email protected] using the email address registered in our systems; or via a notary public.
